These standards are pretty simple - since all Personal Contact Pages are accessible to the entire online community, all content needs to be "G" Rated - that is, appropriate for "General Audiences" - not only you and us, but our kids and parents also. The only realistic way for this to be done, is to have Subscribers send their formatted information to us for a basic review, before we post it to their Personal Contact Pages.
We don't actually care what people choose to put on their Personal Contact Pages - we simply don't think that "adult", "profane", "intolerant" or "libelous" content is appropriate for SendEmailTo.com
We have no control over the Search Engines. Like all Search Engine Optimization specialists, we continually monitor and review Search Engine behavior in order to build web pages that fulfill their criteria for inclusion, and for optimal ranking. Generally, Search Engine Optimization specialists will predict from 60 to 90 days for a new website to be indexed and appropriately ranked.
However, with the rapid and continual improvements made by Google, the recent re-engineering of MSN Search to more closely follow similar practices, and the need for Yahoo to follow suit, we are seeing wait-times reduce to about 60 days for Yahoo, and quite a bit less for Google and MSN Search.
And remember, because all three of the Majors "syndicate" (sell) their services to many smaller Search Engines (Ask Jeeves, Netscape, ASK, AOL, MyWay, DogPile, Lycos, etc), coverage is wider than it may appear.
We chose
to handle all of our secure payments processing and subscription management because they are the most trusted name in consumer protection for online transactions.
Registering with PayPal allows you to change your subscription at any time, directly through your PayPal account. PayPal will then inform us.
When you enter your credit card information to subscribe to your Personal Contact Page, you do so within PayPal's secure, encrypted environment. PayPal completes the transaction and receives payment from your bank or credit card company, and then forwards payment to us. PayPal does not share your credit card information with us, or anybody else.
What they do provide us with however, is confirmation of the credit card owner's identity. That way, we can be sure that the Personal Contact Page Subscriber is in fact who they say they are, and thus maintain the integrity of the SendEmailTo.com Personalized Contact System.
